Exodus 29:19 - 29:37
29:19 “And you will take the second ram, and Aaron and his sons will lay their hands on the head of the ram.
29:20 And you will slaughter the ram and take some of its blood and put it on Aaron’s right earlobe and on the right earlobe of his sons and on the thumb of their right hand and on the big toe of their right foot, and you will sprinkle the blood at the base of the altar all around.
29:21 And you will take some of the blood that is on the altar and some of the anointing oil, and you will spatter it on Aaron and on his garments and on his sons and on his sons’ garments with him, and he will be sacred, and his garments and his sons and his sons’ garments with him.
29:22 And you will take from the ram the fat and the fat tail and the fat covering the inner parts and the lobe of the liver and the two kidneys and the fat that is on them and the right thigh, because it is the ram of ordination.
29:23 “And one loaf of bread and one ring-shaped bread cake of oiled bread and one wafer from the basket of unleavened bread that is before Yahweh—
29:24 you will put them all on the palms of Aaron and on the palms of his sons, and you will wave them as a wave offering before Yahweh.
29:25 And you will take them from their hand and turn them to smoke on the altar beside the burnt offering as a fragrance of appeasement before Yahweh; it is an offering made by fire before Yahweh.
29:26 “And you will take the breast section from the ram of ordination that is for Aaron, and you will wave it as a wave offering before Yahweh. It will be your portion.
29:27 And you will consecrate the wave offering breast section and the thigh of the contribution that was waved and that was presented from the ram of the ordination that is for Aaron and for his sons.
29:28 And it will be for Aaron and for his sons as a lasting rule from the Israelites, because it is a contribution, and it will be a contribution from the Israelites from their sacrifices of fellowship, their contribution to Yahweh.
29:29 “And the holy garments that are for Aaron will be for his sons after him in which to anoint them and to ordain them.
29:30 Seven days the priest who replaces him from among his sons will wear them, who comes to the tent of assembly to serve in the sanctuary.
29:31 And you will take the ram of ordination and boil its meat in a holy place.
29:32 And Aaron and his sons will eat the meat of the ram and the bread that is in the basket at the entrance of the tent of assembly.
29:33 And they will eat them—the things by which atonement was made for them to ordain them to consecrate them—and a stranger will not eat them because they are holy objects.
29:34 If any remains until morning from the ordination meat or from the bread, you will burn the remainder in fire; it will not be eaten, because it is a holy object.
29:35 And you will do so for Aaron and for his sons, according to all that I have commanded you; seven days you will ordain them.
29:36 Instructions for Regular Offerings at the Tabernacle
“And you will offer a bull for a sin offering every day for the atonement; and you will offer a sin offering on the altar when you make atonement for it, and you will anoint it to consecrate it.
29:37 Seven days you will make atonement for the altar, and you will consecrate it, and the altar will be a most holy thing. Anyone who touches the altar will be holy.
NIRV translation
Exodus 29:19 - 29:37
29:19 “Get the other ram. Have Aaron and his sons place their hands on its head.
29:20 Kill it. Put some of its blood on the right ear lobes of Aaron and his sons. Put some on the thumbs of their right hands. Also put some on the big toes of their right feet. Then sprinkle blood against every side of the altar.
29:21 “Get some of the blood from the altar. Also get some of the anointing oil. Sprinkle both of them on Aaron and his clothes and his sons and their clothes. Then he and his sons and their clothes will be set apart to serve me.
29:22 “Here is what you must take from the second ram. Take the fat, the fat tail, the fat around the inside parts, the covering of the liver, both kidneys with the fat on them, and the right thigh. It is the ram you must use when you prepare the priests to serve me.
29:23 Get a loaf, a flat cake that is made with oil, and a wafer. Take them from the basket of bread that was made without yeast. It is the one that is in front of me.
29:24 “Put everything in the hands of Aaron and his sons. Tell them to lift it up and wave it in front of me as a wave offering.
29:25 Then take it from their hands. Burn it on the altar along with the burnt offering. It gives a smell that is pleasant to me. It is an offering that is made to me with fire.
29:26 “Get the breast of the ram that is used when you prepare Aaron to serve me. Wave it in front of me as a wave offering. It will be your share of the meat.
29:27 “Here are the parts of the second ram that belong to Aaron and his sons. You must set apart the breast that was waved and the thigh that was offered.
29:28 It will always be the regular share from the people of Israel for Aaron and his sons. The people must give it to me from their friendship offerings.
29:29 “Aaron’s sacred clothes will belong to his sons who will come after him. Then they can wear them when you anoint them and prepare them to serve me.
29:30 The son who comes after him as priest must wear them seven days. He will come and serve in the Holy Room in the Tent of Meeting.
29:31 “Get the ram that is sacrificed when you prepare Aaron and his sons to serve me. Cook the meat in a sacred place.
29:32 “Aaron and his sons must eat the ram’s meat. And they must eat the bread that is in the basket. They must eat all of it at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting.
29:33 Those are the offerings to pay for their sins. They must eat them. The offerings must be made when Aaron and his sons are set apart and prepared to serve me. No one else can eat them. They are sacred.
29:34 “And if any parts of the ram or bread that are sacrificed when you prepare Aaron and his sons to serve me are left until morning, burn them up. They must not be eaten. They are sacred.
29:35 “Do everything I have commanded you to do for Aaron and his sons. Take seven days when you prepare them to serve me.
29:36 Sacrifice a bull each day. It is a sin offering to pay for their sins.
“Make the altar pure. Pour olive oil on it to set it apart.
29:37 Take seven days to make the altar pure. Set it apart. Then the altar will be a very holy place. Anything that touches it will be holy.

Gospel — Mark 12:18 - 12:27
LEB translation
Mark 12:18 - 12:27
12:18 A Question About Marriage and the Resurrection
And Sadducees—who say there is no resurrection—came up to him and began to ask him, saying,
12:19 “Teacher, Moses wrote for us that if someone’s brother dies and he leaves behind a wife and does not leave a child, that his brother should take the wife and father descendants for his brother.
12:20 There were seven brothers, and the first took a wife. And when he died, he did not leave descendants.
12:21 And the second took her, and he died without leaving descendants. And the third likewise.
12:22 And the seven did not leave descendants. Last of all the woman also died.
12:23 In the resurrection, when they rise, whose wife will she be? For the seven had her as wife.
12:24 Jesus said to them, “Are you not deceived because of this, because you do not know the scriptures or the power of God?
12:25 For when they rise from the dead, they neither marry nor are given in marriage, but are like angels in heaven.
12:26 Now concerning the dead, that they are raised, have you not read in the book of Moses in the passage about the bush how God spoke to him, saying, ‘I am the God of Abraham and the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob’?
12:27 He is not God of the dead, but of the living. You are very much mistaken!”

12:18 Marriage When the Dead Rise
The Sadducees came to Jesus with a question. They do not believe that people rise from the dead.
12:19 “Teacher,” they said, “Moses wrote for us about a man who died and didn’t have any children. But he did leave a wife behind. That man’s brother must get married to the widow. He must have children to carry on his dead brother’s name.
12:20 “There were seven brothers. The first one got married. He died without leaving any children.
12:21 The second one got married to the widow. He also died and left no child. It was the same with the third one.
12:22 In fact, none of the seven left any children. Last of all, the woman died too.
12:23 When the dead rise, whose wife will she be? All seven of them were married to her.”
12:24 Jesus replied, “You are mistaken because you do not know the Scriptures. And you do not know the power of God.
12:25 When the dead rise, they won’t get married. And their parents won’t give them to be married. They will be like the angels in heaven.
12:26 “What about the dead rising? Haven’t you read in the scroll of Moses the story of the bush? God said to Moses, ‘I am the God of Abraham. I am the God of Isaac. And I am the God of Jacob.’ ()
12:27 He is not the God of the dead. He is the God of the living. You have made a big mistake!”
