Leviticus 22:17 - 22:33
22:17 Acceptable Offerings
Then Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying,
22:18 “Speak to Aaron and to his sons and to all the Israelites, and say to them, ‘Anyone from the house of Israel or from the alien in Israel who presents his offering for any of their vows or for any of their freewill offerings that they present to Yahweh as a burnt offering,
22:19 it must be without defect to be acceptable for you: a male among the cattle, among the sheep, or among the goats.
22:20 You shall not present any animal in which is a physical defect, because it shall not be acceptable for you.
22:21 And if anyone brings a sacrifice of fellowship offerings for Yahweh to fulfill a vow or as a freewill offering from the cattle or from the flock, it must be without defect to be acceptable; there must not be any physical defect in it.
22:22 The blind or the injured or the maimed or the seeping or one with a skin disorder or one with a skin eruption—these you shall not present to Yahweh, nor shall you give from them an offering made by fire on the altar for Yahweh.
22:23 As for an ox or sheep that is deformed or that is stunted, you may present it as a freewill offering, but for a vow it will not be accepted.
22:24 And you shall not present anything for Yahweh with bruised or shattered or torn or cut-off testicles, and you shall not sacrifice such in your land.
22:25 And you shall not present your God’s food from any of these by the hand of a foreigner, because their deformity is in them; a physical defect is in them; they shall not be accepted for you.’”
22:26 Then Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying,
22:27 “When an ox or a sheep or a goat is born, then it shall be under its mother for seven days, and from the eighth day and beyond it is acceptable as an offering made by fire for Yahweh.
22:28 And you shall not slaughter an ox or a sheep and its young on the same day.
22:29 And when you sacrifice a sacrifice of thanksgiving to Yahweh, you must sacrifice it to be acceptable for you.
22:30 It must be eaten on that day; you must not leave over anything from it until morning; I am Yahweh.
22:31 “Thus you shall keep my commands, and you shall do them; I am Yahweh.
22:32 “And you shall not profane my holy name, so that I may be consecrated in the midst of the Israelites; I am Yahweh, who consecrates you,
22:33 the one who brought you out from the land of Egypt to be as God for you; I am Yahweh.”

Leviticus 22:17 - 22:33
22:17 Sacrifices the Lord Does Not Accept
The Lord spoke to Moses. He said,
22:18 “Speak to Aaron and his sons. Speak to all of the people of Israel. Tell them, ‘Suppose any of you brings a gift for a burnt offering to the Lord. It does not matter whether you are an Israelite or an outsider who lives in Israel. It does not matter whether you bring the offering to keep a promise or because you choose to give it.
22:19 You must bring a male animal that does not have any flaws if you want the Lord to accept it from you. It does not matter whether it is from your cattle, sheep or goats.
22:20 Do not bring an animal that has any flaws. If you do, the Lord will not accept it from you.
22:21 “‘Suppose any of you brings an animal for a friendship offering to the Lord. Then it must not have any flaws at all. If it does, the Lord will not accept it. It does not matter whether the animal is from your herd or flock. It does not matter whether you bring it to keep a promise or because you choose to give it.
22:22 Do not offer a blind animal to the Lord. Do not bring an animal that is hurt or wounded. And do not offer one that has warts or boils or running sores. Do not place any of them on the altar as an offering that is made to the Lord with fire.
22:23 “‘But suppose you bring an offering you choose to give. Then you can bring an ox or a sheep whose body is twisted or too small. But the Lord will not accept it if you offer it to keep a promise.
22:24 “‘You must not offer the Lord a male animal whose sex glands have been hurt. The glands also must not be crushed, torn or cut. You must not offer that kind of animal in your own land.
22:25 And you must not accept that kind of animal from someone who comes from another land. You must not offer it as food for your God. He will not accept it from you. Its body is twisted and has flaws.’”
22:26 The Lord spoke to Moses. He said,
22:27 “When a calf, lamb or goat is born, it must remain with its mother for seven days. From the eighth day on, I will accept it as an offering that is made to me with fire.
22:28 Do not kill a cow and its calf on the same day. Do not kill a female sheep and its lamb on the same day.
22:29 “Sacrifice a thank offering to me in the right way. Then I will accept it from you.
22:30 You must eat it that same day. Do not leave any of it until morning. I am the Lord.
22:31 “Obey my commands. Follow them. I am the Lord.
22:32 Do not treat my name as if it were not holy. The people of Israel must recognize me as the holy God. I am the Lord. I make you holy.
22:33 I brought you out of Egypt to be your God. I am the Lord.”

Gospel — Matthew 25:31-46
LEB translation
Matthew 25:31-46
25:31 The Judgment of the Sheep and the Goats
Now when the Son of Man comes in his glory and all the angels with him, then he will sit on his glorious throne.
25:32 And all the nations will be gathered before him, and he will separate them from one another like a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats.
25:33 And he will place the sheep on his right and the goats on the left.
25:34 Then the king will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father. Inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world!
25:35 For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me as a guest,
25:36 I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you cared for me, I was in prison and you came to me.’
25:37 Then the righteous will answer him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink?
25:38 And when did we see you a stranger and welcome you as a guest, or naked and clothe you?
25:39 And when did we see you sick or in prison and come to you?’
25:40 And the king will answer and say to them, ‘Truly I say to you, in as much as you did it to one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did it to me.’
25:41 Then he will also say to those on his left, ‘Depart from me, you accursed ones, into the eternal fire that has been prepared for the devil and his angels!
25:42 For I was hungry and you did not give me anything to eat, I was thirsty and you did not give me anything to drink,
25:43 I was a stranger and you did not welcome me as a guest, naked and you did not clothe me, sick and in prison and you did not care for me.’
25:44 Then they will also answer, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison and not serve you?’
25:45 Then he will answer them, saying, ‘Truly I say to you, in as much as you did not do it to one of the least of these, you did not do it to me.’
25:46 And these will depart into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.”

Matthew 25:31-46
25:31 The Sheep and the Goats
“The Son of Man will come in all his glory. All the angels will come with him. Then he will sit on his throne in the glory of heaven.
25:32 All the nations will be gathered in front of him. He will separate the people into two groups. He will be like a shepherd who separates the sheep from the goats.
25:33 He will put the sheep to his right and the goats to his left.
25:34 “Then the King will speak to those on his right. He will say, ‘My Father has blessed you. Come and take what is yours. It is the kingdom prepared for you since the world was created.
25:35 I was hungry. And you gave me something to eat. I was thirsty. And you gave me something to drink. I was a stranger. And you invited me in.
25:36 I needed clothes. And you gave them to me. I was sick. And you took care of me. I was in prison. And you came to visit me.’
25:37 “Then the people who have done what is right will answer him. ‘Lord,’ they will ask, ‘when did we see you hungry and feed you? When did we see you thirsty and give you something to drink?
25:38 When did we see you as a stranger and invite you in? When did we see you needing clothes and give them to you?
25:39 When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’
25:40 “The King will reply, ‘What I’m about to tell you is true. Anything you did for one of the least important of these brothers of mine, you did for me.’
25:41 “Then he will say to those on his left, ‘You are cursed! Go away from me into the fire that burns forever. It has been prepared for the devil and his angels.
25:42 I was hungry. But you gave me nothing to eat. I was thirsty. But you gave me nothing to drink.
25:43 I was a stranger. But you did not invite me in. I needed clothes. But you did not give me any. I was sick and in prison. But you did not take care of me.’
25:44 “They also will answer, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty and not help you? When did we see you as a stranger or needing clothes or sick or in prison and not help you?’
25:45 “He will reply, ‘What I’m about to tell you is true. Anything you didn’t do for one of the least important of these, you didn’t do for me.’
